Atheist- what it means

Atheist- what does it really mean? To many people it means "non-believer". and that's true. Although from my experience the word means more of "hater of god" "evil" and "anti Christ". According to dictionary.com atheist means:

–noun a person who denies or disbelieves the existence of a supreme being or beings.

I'm an atheist, I don't really care about god. I don't think about pleasing him. Religion is just not part of my life.

But because of my outward nature, I have told people about my believes. If you ask me about my religion, I will tell you that I'm an atheist, an that will be the end of it. Only there really is never an end of it. Lots of times I will tell people this and either stare in disbelief, or start the "nu-uhs" where they blabber on and on about how I'm wrong and their right.

So I have decided to speak out. Have my voice reach out to the people beyond my small southern town in South Carolina. I am going to tell you what I think, about what I believe or do not believe in. Whether you agree with me or not, its what I think. But most of all its important that no matter what your religion is you see me as a person. you take my opinion into account. and weather 90% of people believe something, or 99% or, even yet a 100% believe in something does not make them right
